Have you ever received a security alert on your phone or laptop? That urgent notification warning you of a “possible intrusion” or telling you to “change your password immediately”?

In today’s digital age, we do everything we can to protect our personal data, our bank accounts, and our private folders. We set up firewalls, establish geographic restrictions, and closely guard our passwords. But during a powerful message at Cornerstone Church, Pastor Damita challenged us to look at our lives through a different lens: What does your spiritual cybersecurity look like?

If you feel like you’ve been under constant tech-style glitches or spiritual attacks, it’s time to recognize the authority you carry. The ultimate verdict has already been handed down by the blood of Jesus: Access Denied.

Understanding the Firewall of the Blood

In a sermon grounded in Psalm 91, Pastor Damita reminded us that as believers, we dwell in the secret place of the Most High. We aren’t fighting for protection; we are already enclosed in it.

Think of the blood of Jesus as the ultimate firewall. When Christ redeemed you, He didn’t just cover your history—He deleted the old files. The enemy has no legal right to go into your past, rummage through your old mistakes, or bring up charges against you. The blood of Jesus permanently deleted those folders.

The adversary cannot simply bypass God’s security configuration to get to you. In fact, just like a hacker trying to crack a secure server, the enemy literally has to ask permission before he can even attempt to touch a child of God. You have a divine firewall around your life, your family, and your purpose.

Are You Giving Away Your Password?

If the firewall is completely secure, how does the enemy still find a way to disrupt our peace, our marriages, or our minds?

The truth is tough to swallow: We often give away our own passwords.

Every time we walk in unforgiveness, nurse an old grudge, harbor pride, or fall into stubbornness, we hand over our security configurations. Unforgiveness keeps our spirits in a state of lockdown, leaving the back door wide open for an intrusion. When we refuse to let go of an offense, we essentially hand the adversary our username and say, “Go ahead, access my thoughts.”

4 Steps to Clear the Spiritual Server

If you’ve noticed a spiritual intrusion or feel like you’ve compromised your security details, Pastor Damita outlined a practical, tech-inspired troubleshooting guide to reset your spiritual server:

  1. Clear Your Browser Data (Tap to Mute): Sometimes, the easiest way to stop a leak is to simply shut your mouth. If we stop speaking negativity, doubt, and gossip, the enemy loses his leverage. Don’t go mute on God—keep praising Him—but tap to mute when it comes to the whispers of the enemy.

  2. Check Your Regional Restrictions: In the digital world, certain websites block traffic based on your location. Spiritually, some blessings and protections are strictly location-dependent. Staying planted in the house of God, right where you are supposed to be, activates a geographic restriction that keeps the enemy’s chaotic devices out of your perimeter.

  3. Adjust Your Firewall Settings: Keep the fire of the Holy Ghost turned up hot in your life. When the spiritual heat is high, negative influences and “snakes” can’t handle the environment—they are forced to flee the area.

  4. Utilize ISP Support: When a computer system is entirely overwhelmed, you call the internet service provider or the network creator. When an attack comes against you, remember that the enemy has to answer to your Creator. God is watching, and He loves to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him.

Use Your Keys

Jesus didn’t leave the church defenseless. In Matthew 16:19, He declared that He has given us the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven.

It is time for the sons and daughters of God to stop passively letting any and everything happen in their homes, their jobs, and their bodies. Grab your keys. Put the enemy’s operations on a total security lockdown. When old familiar issues try to rise up a second time, stand flat-footed on the Word of God and decree: Access Denied.

Time for a Security Update

As the service drew to a close, a powerful final thought was shared: Not everything we struggle with is an outside attack. Sometimes, our vulnerabilities are self-inflicted because we’ve neglected our routine maintenance.

Consider this blog post your official spiritual security update notification.

Today is the day to change the passwords to your heart, your mind, your thoughts, and your emotions. Update your security, refresh your alignment with God’s Word, and rest easy knowing that your life is hidden securely under the shadow of the Almighty.
